I don't have a Sling but am on my second CTLS. First was a 912 ULS and was very reliable. Second is a 912iS and just as reliable but lower fuel burn and smoother running. I would not go back to an engine that was not fuel injected. My local A&P shop has many years of experience maintaining these...

I think the break point for avgas and increased oil changes is somewhere around 30% of total hours, so if you use mogas 9 months of the year you should be ok. When I travel I don't bother with decalin because of the the total hours I fly on mogas vs avgas.

I't's doable for sure, just look at the climb rate of the P2006t I've been thinking about picking up a P2006T with timed out engines and then going through the process of an STC to put in 915's. I would sell my eye teeth for a twin engine rotax that held 4 people and bags.(900lb with 3 hours of fuel plus IFR reserves) I've looked at the Tecnam P2006T but it's still got the 912S3 with a carburetor. If I could get one with the turbo 915 that's what I would fly. Sling, please make a twin 915/9...

My understanding is that they produce the rated oxygen amount up to 15k. They may work higher but they're not rated for it and my suspicion is that the concentration would just go down as you go higher.

I've flown with bottled oxygen and the hassle of getting them filled and wrestling them around wasn't the best experience. With the Inogen units all I have to worry about is having the battery charged. Works great up to 15K which is plenty for me. I picked up two of the G4 units which puts out the e...

Brian, if I remember your previous post correctly the break point was at about 10K where the TSi began to outperform the RV-10. Lol, fair enough. I have a CTLSi and flew to Colorado two weekends ago and really like the idea of a turbocharger. Headwind was brisk and ended up with a 100 knot ground speed most of the way. That's what got me thinking about having the extra speed. Everything is a trade off.

Understood, I fly a CTLSi for those reasons, plus the parachute for the one in a million airframe issue.

One other question: Best I can tell is that the TSI cruises at 150 knots and the RV10 at 170. How did that play into your choice?(or did it)
