Seatbelts - Rear pax`

Anyone put shoulder harnesses in the rear seats (Sling 4 or TSi)?

Happy with the three point inertia reel on the front seat but I’m worried about rear seat pax if we flip or come to a sudden halt..

Re: Grass strips?

I’ve operated my 4 off and into grass strips - Its not an issue but bear in mind that the spats are tight and you may need to keep an eye out for the grass in the pants

on that - it doesn’t look like you can use it
for starting though if your battery is flat ? but this is the kind of thing i’m looking for…

jump start/ext power

Has anyone included a jump start or external power port in their aircraft?

It’s pretty difficult to start using external power on standard configuration - very little space to access the battery through the standard cowl openings…..

Re: Service Bulletin #0017 - Potential Risk Of Shearing Of Control Stop Plate Rivets [Sling 4, Sling TSi]

#slingsupport I did the inspection today. I can’t tell if the rivets are aluminium or stainless steel. I saw a video from Midwest Sky Sports on Facebook where they say the stainless ones are duller in color than the aluminium. They certainly don’t feel magnetic on my aircraft. Any thoughts @andrewpi...

Re: Spats and tyre pressures

To be honest, a larger hole may work - the problem I find is that I can’t get my fingers and the inflation hose in and screw it in through the the current hole. The documents call for a 44mm hole. The Cirrus has a door which hinges out - may be worth doing that from the get-go? I’m told the RV-10 al...

Re: Spats and tyre pressures

I have the same hole on my spats - trust me, it’s really fiddly - there is very little space. I spoke to the guys at TAF and they say they have no issues doing this with the valve at the bottom of the wheel.

I’m still struggling but will have another look on the weekend.

Spats and tyre pressures

Has anyone modified their spats to enable easier tyre pressure checking/inflation? Currently it takes me around 45 min to check and inflate all 3tyres due to the minuscule amount of space between the wheel and the spat...
