Re: Beringer brakes

Replying, but not much help. I think the person to ask is Henry at Midwest Sky Sports, or contact Beringer in South Carolina.

The Beringers on my plane were the hand brake type. Got used to it even though my previous plane was toe brakes!

Re: Utility of second G3X?

My previous plane had the G3X units side by side. Loved it. My Tsi has the conventional G3X over each seat. Although I miss the closeness, I do need the GNX375 and prop controls close by, and that was not possible with the G3X screens side by side. I normally set the mfd to traffic and moving map, a...

Those constitute a very small fraction of accidents, and is a risk I'm willing to take. ...

Re: Tsi Long Range Tank: Pros and Cons?

I bought extended range tanks, and haven't used them yet. Now with the even larger standard tanks, the range is about 6 1/2 hours flight planning at 8ph.

I would divert the cash elsewhere if I had to do it again.

Re: Kit configuration: Parachute pros and cons?

Other chute pros: - On resale, chute is a deal breaker for some buyers. - In the Cirrus world, chutes pulled above min. altitude have 100% survival success rate, hopefully that translates to Sling Tsi as well Con: - Must counter the chute weight to avoid rear CG issue, difficult to have 4 adults wit...

It was very interesting, for those who are wondering if it's worth their time. Good Q and A at the end as well!

Re: 912iS Engine Pre-Heat / Cold Start

I use a twin hornet. Long, flexible cord, and you just set it in the cowling with a blanket over the top. Very happy with it.
