Re: TSi NKET?

No there isn't. I use the Sling 4 NKET list as the baseline and just made some changes for things that are different from the Sling 4 with some notes. Since the TSi is based on the Sling 4, I'm sure that should be fine for when the time comes for the DAR. Since TAF in Torrance already finished and c...

permagray wrote: Fri Jun 12, 2020 5:37 am I think they will. But, what if they don't? Since most of the rivets are already in, how would one adjust things?
You would de-rivet some, try to get any bend out and then re-rivet them.

When you can check that the alignment is good. So basically, test fit them on the wings and see that the come out straight.

Re: Aileron

On page W 9.1 - There is a isometric diagram of parts 8,9, and 10 for a hinge bracket assembly. I would expect that there would be a page between W 9.2 and W 9.3 that would illustrate and provide directions for the assembly of these parts. There is nothing - no mention of rivets required, or direct...

Cluemeister wrote: Tue Jun 09, 2020 10:51 am How do these compare to the old seats, and why the design change?
It looks like the bottom hinge has been changed to now be a solid part of the bottom and seat back.

The "old" design had a moving two-part hinge:

Re: WIng Tip FIt

I haven't tried fitting my Wingtips yet, but I'm wondering whether that is part expected to just bend up in place and held when the rivets are on.

I'll try to do a quick fit today and see if mine looks the same.
Will reply back then.

Re: Aileron

The Ailerons are next on the menu for me, I just finished the Pitot tube installation yesterday. Yes I'd say we'll need to rivet the balance tube first since you need to line up those holes with the pre-drilled holes in the tube and there's not much room for movement there before you do the alignmen...

Re: Known building "Gotchas" for the Sling TSi

You can see in the Finishing Kit instructions that those bottom 2 rivnut heads are visible that support my reading of the situation. So it looks you left the 4 upper Rivnuts alone? your solution looks great. Yes, just those 2 bottom ones were pushing on the spar, the ones above sit between the angl...
