Re: Mogas Locations
There are a few websites that (try to) keep updated lists of airports with mogas or UL94 and list what type it is. On here they list a few different sources: https://www.autofuelstc.com/mogas_locations.phtml http://www.flyunleaded.com/airports.html and https://www.pure-gas.org/index.jsp specifically...

Re: Pilot Experience of Sling Builders
I got my PPL about 3 years ago and did my Instrument rating last year. Currently I have about 180 hours total time, mostly in Cessna 150 and 172. I am hoping to build up some time over the next year to work on the Commercial certificate (for which I need 250 hours in the US) and get my CFI to open t...

Re: Show your workshop
Looks like you don’t have wheels on your EAA1000 tables. I am going to build some myself. Do you think they would be helpful or not really? Do you have a way to lock them together or do you just push them next to each other? Correct, I don't have wheels on them and just push them together as needed...

Re: Share your Progress Fridays [2019/12/13]
I'll start myself with some building progress. I finished planning out the installation of the Pitot tube for my Sling TSi build and cut out the hole for the inspection panel in the Wing to allow me to install the heated/regulated Pitot Tube. I will mount the regulator unit on the back of the inspec...

Share your Progress Fridays [2019/12/13]
Hey all, I figured it would be nice to have a regular weekly check-in of peoples progress and do a regular "Share your Progress" every Friday going forward of what you've achieved recently. Whether that is: Build progress if you're currently building a Sling Flight testing progress if you'...

EAA Airventure Oshkosh 2020 - cancelled
Next year's EAA Airventure Oshkosh 2020 is only half a year away. The dates are going to be July 20th - July 26th. I haven't quite figured out any detailed plan myself yet, but I am planning to go again and will probably camp again in Camp Scholler like I did this summer. So who else is planning to ...

Engine cowling panel latches
I'm wondering if anyone has considered installing a hand-push latch instead of using Camlock/Dzus fasteners for the engine cowling panels so that you don't need to carry around a screw driver to check the oil level before every flight. I've been looking for a few latches such as the KM610 series tha...
