Can anyone shed light on why the rivnuts at the bottom of the vertical stab rear spar are sandwiched between doublers? Why wouldn't they be installed through spar and 2 doublers?

Has anyone used Ardrox AV-30 for waterproofing overlapping skin. First time I’ve heard of this product and it seems like corrosion X but in the Intro KAI it looks like it can be brushed onto skin joint prior to riveting in place. Hey Steve, EAA Chapter 1601 is closest to me... thanks for advice. Would be fun to have meetings in the Lone Star Museum with Chapter 12 (40min drive). I received everything except powerplant, avionics, and prop. Will probably be doing inventory for a month.

Anyone in Texas or Louisiana have a used DRDT-2 they would like to sell? Houston or greater area would be ideal. I am in the process of inventory and looking forward to that first rivet. Thanks!
