New Canopy Strut Design

There have been several times I look at the build manual, scratch my head, and say, "this is not what I have" My canopy is now an additional one... Here is the 'preliminary' manual for the gas strut application. Please note the lack of a measurement for the placement of the lower gas strut...

Re: Known building "Gotchas" for the Sling TSi

Parking Brake valve: The 1/8 NPT 90 degree fitting will not fit into the valve because it is 1/8 BSP. Here is what TAF says The thread on the fittings is 1/8” NPT and inside the valve is 1/8” BSP – the 2 threads are almost the same but don’t quite fit. Re: Safety Alert #0012

I was just getting started this week on that section (QB) and I am trying to figure out the 4 steel rivets listed on the consumables. The build manual pages for that section are not the "pretty color" version... looks like these

That's funny. They have a link to my EAA build log but I don't appear on the map.

Re: New TSi Seats

Per Mike at TAF, these seats DO require the HW-253 counter sunk rivets on the sides of the seat base so break out your 120 degree no-mar counter sink tool. He explained it is for room in mounting the seats in the aircraft.
