KCDC Build

Post by MTJ »

Hello

I ordered the Sling 4 TSI after deciding:

1) Certified was just too damn expensive (I used to own one, bang for buck is terrible)
2) Didn't want to rely on a mechanic to "work me into the schedule"
3) Wanted a FADEC, 4 place, capable of operating out of my high altitude airport
4) reasonable speed to commute to work in So. Cal
5) Simple construction. (as compared to some really great kit aircraft)

Ordered the Quick Build in June and should arrive in early Jan.

I have 2 helpers. A buddy from a previous airline I worked for and former F-4 mechanic. My brother who also is a airline pilot and is really great with a wrench. 3 pilots and a rivet gun...what could possibly go wrong?

We hope to make good progress on this build.

Payment is in beer however, I have the key to the shop beer fridge. Only to be opened at the end of the build day.

Hi, Good luck with the build. I have two sons who are both Aircraft Techs, rarely do I see either of them in the build shed. They do occasionally visit and pass a critical eye over the current state of construction and even offer some advice which I'm grateful for. Take all the help you can get. Cheers.
