Update on the Tsi build assist at MWSS

Post by Cluemeister »

Just got back from another visit to Midwest Sky Sports. A lot of progress on the build assist this visit. Working with the whole gang at MWSS has been great. They clearly take pride in their work, and I am glad I am working with them.

A few pictures:

I didn't count, but I think I riveted 12.6 million rivets in the plane so far. Ok, not exactly, but that's what it feels like if you count the clecos as well. Here is what it looks like as I was finishing up the flaps and ailerons:

The wings had been finished last summer/fall, and now we were getting ready to attach them to the plane. A very snug fit, with four guys doing the heavy lifting.

Henry was in the plane, securing the wings:

Here is one wing on. At least I could fly in circles at this poin!

And after the second wing was attached:

After the wings, we moved onto the rudder and elevator. Now it looks like a real plane!

This visit was so much fun, as a bunch of parts transformed into a plane!

Awesome progress, looking good :)

Looks like you'll be flying in no time.
