In December Rotax announced the release of a new 24 volt version of the 915iS.
Given the power requirements of the all glass panels that are common to the TSi, is Sling going to begin offering the 24 volt version as an option? This would give a lot more leeway on power consumption.

I’ve already ordered my kit with the external alternator option; but having the 24 volt system would be extra cushion.

Might be worth tagging in #slingsupport It might not necessarily be "support" related but I'm sure they can get it to the right individuals. :)

Hi,

We are not offering it as an option currently. The limitation lies with some of the equipment used (flap actuator, trim servo, lights etc.). We will consider it as an option in the future, but it will be some time still.

It’s been a couple of years, any further thoughts about supporting 24v? There is a start up bringing Thermawing technology to the experimental market that requires 28 volt on the external alternator as well as some air conditioning units that use 28v systems.

For those items requiring 12v, why not just add a step down converter.
