This Mandatory Service Bulletin (SB) requires inspection and possible replacement of the oil spray nozzle in specific ROTAX® 912 i, 915 i, and 916 i Series engines, including certified and non-certified models. It addresses a manufacturing issue where excess LOCTITE® at the sprag clutch housing or oil spray nozzle could block the nozzle, leading to inadequate cooling and potential stator damage, which may result in LANE failure.

I saw this as well.

My engine is still in the crate in my hangar. I'm wondering if this is something I need to consider doing, or not.

If your engine serial number is in the range then it's mandatory... but you're a lucky one in that your engine is still in the box. The mounted engines are going to be a huge PITA to service.

Thanks for pointing out the serial number range. I didn't read the complete SA this morning but will go back and take a look.

EDIT: I have confirmed that I have the 915 iSc A, not the 915 iSc C24 (24 Volt). My serial number is 10003180 which means I will need to have my engine checked for this condition.
