Vertical Stabilizer - VOR/Light Cables

Post by rnurkka »

Run them together? Widen the holes new grommets? Or what has everyone done who has both the light on top and VOR antennae?

Thanks,

Perfect. Now to get the right length of cable.

Plans call for 1m of 4 core 18 AWG. Well... the cable sent was 1.29m. And it is not long enough. But let me check again. I like how you ran it!

Thanks,

I did mine a little differently, running them through the front. Can’t post pictures for some reason, but my VOR antenna cable is ahead of the VS front spar and beacon wiring in the standard front set of holes just behind the front spar and then angles back towards the top as usual.

Using a Midwest Panel Builders harness, nicely made although large connectors provide a different challenge.
