Ground power for avionics

Post by shaunc869 »

I apologize if this has already been covered but I couldn't find it, but how can I power the avionics while on the ground so I can learn the G3X without the engine having to be on. Thanks!

Garmin has a series of free apps for the iPad which include the GTN Trainer and TXi Trainer.. That's what I've used along with

The apps aren't current to today's build, but it gets you through the basics.

You might checkout how they have done it on the Van's RV side and run it past a manufacturer and sling support to confirm.

I do agree though, having a ground power source seems like a legit addon for low power maintenance needs.
