Re: Engine washing and corrosion protection
Might be worth reaching out to Rotax on that question. I'm unaware of anything specific to treating the engine itself. In fact I haven't ever heard of that really. If you're getting a lot of moisture in the engine bay you're flying in a lot of rain.

Re: CFI with Sling TSi time
Most folks are trying to find a CFI for transition training. If you're already flying your Sling, then any CFI should be able to do a BFR and if you specify one that has GTN and G3x training/experience you should be able to find one. I've been doing my transition training with a friend who has his o...

Re: Airventure 2024
I'm in the final stages of my push to get things done. The DAR will be here on Saturday (please let me have done everything correctly), and then I probably have around a week or so to clean up any loose ends. Hopefully the first flight shortly thereafter. I'm planning on doing the EAA Test cards for...
Re: TPMS
I'm not sure if Beringer will do it again this year - but I picked up their sensors last year at Oshkosh for just a bit over $500 on a show special. It was kind of a no-brainer given the cost difference.

That's weird - hmm - let's see if this works -
If that doesn't work - look for "Pop Rivet Gun Tool Rivet Drill Attachment Power Drill Tool Kit Cordless Rivet Gun"

Re: Short elevator torque tube - help please
You might have some luck with this tool -
I ran across it recently when everything I had just wasn't cutting it.

Re: Short elevator torque tube - help please
Hey Gaking, I know exactly what you're talking about as I had that part out of my airplane a time or two in the build process. Honestly what I wound up doing was getting a dremmel (and if you don't have one already you should get one) with a flat disk on the tip. The disk has a nice edge to it that ...

Re: 916 upgrade kit?
Edward would probably know the most on this issue.
My understanding is the engine mount is slightly different, so you need one of those. I *think* there is a slightly different cowling as well.
I'll ping him and see if he can respond here for the audience.
Thanks - Brian

Re: How to update GTN 650/G3X?
Honestly I’m not sure. I haven’t updated anything on my panel as of yet as I’m working towards first flight. I know Garmin is pretty finicky on things, but I would hope they built the software in such a way that it would observe the data card for the files it needs and just imports them. I also have...
