Re: How much part cleaning and primer to order?
Closing off this question. I did some more asking around. People who went with the AkzoNobel primer tended to do it with 2 gallons total and since its a 2 part system that means 1 gallon of each part. Now, that milage varies slightly depending on how much waste you have, but people who used more tha...

Re: Beringer brakes
With Beringer wheels and brakes now an option, is there still rework required to the axle mount holes on the main gear legs or is this corrected at the factory when you select the kit option? Does that also include the correct axle shims?

Re: How much part cleaning and primer to order?
SimpleGreen is just a parts degrease / wash that cleans the surface, removes the factory ink stamping and other dirt. Parts prep is usually something like scuff / lightly sand, wash down with Simplegreen, rinse with water, dry, then prekote and then prime. @brian - thank you as well. I've considered...

How much part cleaning and primer to order?
Question, for a Sling TSI flat pack, does anyone have a reference point as to how much primer (Gallons, Quarts, Ounces) to have on hand for the interior spaces (inside skins, ribs, etc)? I'd like to get per major kit assembly so as things arrive I can manage my inventory. So Example - Empennage = x ...

Re: Ground power for avionics
You might checkout how they have done it on the Van's RV side and run it past a manufacturer and sling support to confirm. https://www.audioauthority.com/downloads/examples/RV-10_Ext_Power_Install_20220225.pdf I do agree though, having a ground power source seems like a legit addon for low power mai...

Re: Garage Builds
Awesome, thanks Brian! For the garage door clearances, what are your thoughts? Can it get through the door with the tail on? what's the clearance pushing down on the tail? How much space do the kit boxes take up? I'm basically going through to make a dimensional drawing of my workspace to make sure ...

Rivets and CG Thought
I'll preference this by saying I have no idea, but I have this idea. I have read a lot about Center of Gravity Weight issues especially with parachute options installed. It made me wonder about ways to increase the forward weight without taking up space. So, the question - Rivets... Stainless are st...

Garage Builds
Question for everyone... What's the best practice for Garage Builds? I have a 2.5 car garage, length is a bit short ~20ft and garage door is 7ft. How much space can I anticipate the full kit (minus engine and avionics) to occupy? How far can I get on a Sling TSI build at home before I run into troub...
