I received the new Throttle cable (as per the AD). I was a little surprised that the kit did not come with new addendum instructions for installation. I checked that latest Fuselage KAI (7.9) Is there a new addendum for the throttle quadrant?

Inside Skins
On the TSi - are the inside side skins structural? If I installed them with rivnuts and screws would it affect the structural integrity of the plane? (I am looking to make them removable for inspection purposes - particularly for evidence of corrosion or insect/rodent infestation)

Nose wheel tube fit
By looking carefully at the engine mount, one can appreciate the challenge it must be to weld everything together and get all of the angles perfect. My mount is hopefully fully correct regarding the engine itself. However, the angle of the two mounting points for the nose gear bushings are at ever s...

Re: Booster fuel pump question?
So, what is the correct and complete answer regarding the fuel pumps? I am at the stage of fuel pumps and fuel lines. I also have the Rotax AD new fuel pumps. Question: Do the main fuel pumps cycle on and off with pressure, or do they just run all of the time? How about the Facet pump? I assume that...

Water in Parachute Box?
I have installed sections of hose at the base of my parachute box to act as stand-offs for base of the chute. It does seem that if there were any water incursion around the parachute cover it could accumulate in the base of the box. Any thoughts about drilling several drain holes in the base?

Control Sticks
A couple of notes on the control sticks. 1) It is way easier to rivet the rear plate/closing plate on the rear bushing BEFORE trying to install it in place with the four spar bolts. I promise you can manipulate the stick with the bracket attached and get it in position. 2) If you are going to cut do...

Wing Tip Lights Cover
How are builders securing the cover? BTW: my QB kit holes came dimpled from the factory. Though it will be a pita, I am thinking of doing a a whole mess of nutplates riveted through the plexiglass and the aluminum backing strip - AND countersinking the holes in the plexiglass. Looking for other sugg...

Re: Known building "Gotchas" for the Sling TSi
On a related note to the aileron/flap flush rivet question... When test fitting the flaps I found that it was still rubbing on the bottom of the rivets in the trailing edge of the skin supports even though I did shorten them per the instructions. I decided to replace those pulled rivets with solid ...

Baggage Door on Quickbuild
Hi - On my quickbuild kit, the baggage door was already installed. Unfortunately, they did not pre-bend the door before they installed it. I have tried a number of options thus far to bend it on the plane, but have been unsuccessful in putting any kind of bend into it. Of course, I don't want to kin...
