Re: TSi Quick Build Question:

The quick build aircraft supplied by the factory are assembled with alodined parts. The balance of the kit parts are supplied with the protective film and label on it. The kit builder will have to alodine or prime these parts before assembly.

Re: Prop Orientation

Hi,

The orientation of the propeller does not matter when mounting it to the engine, especially with the three blade. What is more important is that the propeller is well balanced.

Re: Fuel Capacity - Mains, new mains & Long Range?

Hi, Apologies for the confusion caused, and herewith an explanation: In mid 2020, the main tanks were increase in size from 88L to 99L per side. This was done by increasing span-wise length of the tank by one rib. The long range tanks are separate from the main tanks, and are located in the leading ...

Attempt the method suggested by MTJ, otherwise please post your email here and we will email you the instructions. Alternatively, send an email to technical@slinga...

Re: Can I operate a Sling HW at my strip?

Hi, We are still developing the take-off and landing performance tables for varying weights and altitudes, but we do have preference information at MAUW of 1,050kg. The tests were conducted at MSL on a smooth and level tar runway: Takeoff: Roll: 270m (shorter possible with STOL procedures, around 23...

Re: Static Wicks (dischargers) Installation #slingsupport

Hi, Using nutplates would allow easy servicing (replacing) of the static wicks, and would be the preferred method if the control surfaces (rudder / ailerons) are still open. If they are closed (assembled) then make use of blind rivets, they will fulfill the same purpose. Correct, add the wicks to th...

Re: Static Wicks (dischargers) Installation #slingsupport

Hi, You are correct in that there are no static wicks on the aircraft at the moment. We are currently testing the use of static wicks on the aircraft, namely on the wing tips and the top of the rudder (x3 wicks in total). The wicks can be mounted to the top of the rudder, and the tip of each aileron...

Re: Alodine/Bonderite Treatment

I believe the Factory now actually default alodines some of the parts as I've seen on some pictures from newer kits, so you might not even have to do it yourself anymore. Can #slingsupport confirm that's the case now? It is standard procedure at the factory to alodine aluminum parts for RTF (Ready ...
