IF they scale up production... I do hope they're being a bit conservative to avoid scaling up and then getting stuck with huge costs the next time kit demand drops, so they don't end up in the Vans situation.

Re: How to stay warm at 16,000'?

I think in one of Evan's videos (not the instruction ones but the one where he's building) he talks about changing the routing for the hot air from going through the walls of the cockpit to using scat hose, since the cold aluminum walls chilled the air before it even got into the cabin. I think this...

Re: Assembly manuals question

So in Evan's build video, I noted that he says the KAI "introduction" is in the empennage kit along with the empennage manual. That was not the case for me (it's not on the packing list and it's not in the crate either.) Have people actually gotten it with the empennage kit?

Re: Assembly manuals question

https://www.airplanefactory.com/owner-support/manuals/ That is where I've looked before. However, the empennage manual there is 3.2 and in the crate I got 3.3, so those do not seem to be completely up to date. (Otoh, the canopy version on the dropbox is 2.4 and I got a paper one of 2.3, so there mu...

Assembly manuals question

So I got my kit and cracked open all the crates to get the KAIs out. Some are more recent than the ones that are located in the TAF dropbox, so I'm guessing this is different from the "official" Sling dropbox that's mentioned in the KAI Chapter 0. However, there was no such "chapter 0...

Re: Picking up kit?

Is that the entire kit? Just wanting to understanding what my kit will look like when it arrives. I ordered the entire TSi flat pack kit. Thanks. That is the entire kit, yes. Only the Rotax and propeller should be missing. And the parachute, I guess, as I'm going without that. In order from closest...

Re: Picking up kit?

Well, I ended up paying for the truck, it was too painful to organize a pickup. It was delivered today. :D https://uca57b3ff4d6a74116bfa524213a.dl.dropboxusercontent.com/cd/0/inline/CHj35horvJ1hS_fOkeARrOvhTmthmUZS5TZPsLNXo-abfQ-VC8jbPQ1BYECAGUwZUgQPYnQO6H3jQxBQRTv5aQ_GqzHTP8p9E6ywumHhy-gvP973-kxCKP...

Re: Sling HW Radio Silence ?

I have no updates, but I remember reading that since they already have several years' worth of orders for the HW, they were not going to be promoting the HW further at this time. I had not heard about the problems at Vans, but they seem particular to their situation. I would not think it has any imp...

Picking up kit?

So my slow-build kit (10 crates) has arrived at the distributor in the Netherlands and I've been quoted ~$5000 for trucking the kit from NL to my location in the middle of Sweden, a trip of 1800km (~1100 miles.) I'm toying with the idea of renting a truck and picking it up myself, which appears like...
