Re: Fuel level sensor

This is an old post, but I was curious so I went looking at those datasheets. I think the problem is that the pressure you need to measure is quite low. The ballpark pressure from a full tank would be about 1 kPa or 0.15psi. Let's say we want to measure the fill level to 1%, then you need an accurac...

Re: Rotax 915iS TBO update?

Rotax just announced the 916iS with a 2000h TBO right off the bat, so hopefully that's good news for the 915, too.

Panel CAD

Hey all,
Does anyone know of or have a CAD model of the panel shape? I've seen people doing CAD designs of how to lay out the avionics, but I dunno if people measured up their own panel or if there's a model floating around somewhere.

Thanks,

Patrik

Re: TSi type approval in Sweden/Europe

Aircraft Builders, the European distributor, is going to help out so hopefully they can get whatever info is needed from the factory.

TSi type approval in Sweden/Europe

The process for amateur building in Sweden is quite a bit more involved and regulated than in the US. Before you can start your build, you need a building permit. To be eligible for amateur building, each airplane type must go through an examination showing that the design conforms to certain portio...

Re: GNX375

I was just looking at what avionics I might want, and although I have no immediate plans to fly IFR I'm intrigued by the GNX375. Since it replaces the ADS-B in/out transponder and dedicated ADS-B GPS source, the extra cost of a GNX375 ($7400) + GAD29 ($500) over a GTX45R ($4295) + GPS20A ($895) is $...

Re: "Electrical kit"?

Yeah this is the one place where I think the communication on what the kit contains could be a lot clearer. I'm probably going to do my own wiring and while some things are completely dependent on avionics it would be nice to know for example at least roughly how much wire is needed for non avionics...

Re: Aloha from Hawaii

By the way, I was also notified that the lead time on the Airmaster prop for the TSi is 14 months right now, so get your prop order in early!

Re: Aloha from Hawaii

Just put down my deposit on a TSi kit today! The process of locating somewhere to actually build it is ongoing. (The advantage of ordering a kit and then moving is that you can plan for your shop needs when looking for a house... ;-)

"Electrical kit"?

So I'm looking at the dropbox manuals, and there is an "Electrical kit assembly instructions". However, I can't see an electrical kit quoted anywhere. I did see a quote for a "Full harness and instrument panel kit", but my impression was that this is the harness for the avionics ...
