Re: Known building "Gotchas" for the Sling TSi
Fuel Selector Fit I was having trouble with fitting the fuel selector to the composite piece and here is what TAF had to say about that. The larger fittings on the fuel selector does interfere with the composite cover between the dashboard and center console. We have been sanding/filing fillets on t...

Re: Improved/updated KAI?
Hello all.. I had a conversation with TAF about the Apple app and the manuals. I have had problems figuring out some differences between the app and PDF manuals and here is the answer "The App was created in USA and is out of R&D’s hands. We will look into it and may be part of the App in t...

Re: Static Lines
Yup I wasn't going to hook them separately to instruments,,, Just wondering were others have spliced them together. I ended up doing it further aft with equal lengths of line to the "Y" from the static ports. I am also installing an ALT static in the panel as well. If I get bored down the ...

Static Lines
Just curious. My QB has two static ports and TAF has run both lines to the rear seat area. I have noticed some builders connecting the tubes together in the aft section. A question For you way smart people.... is there any advantage to continue to run both lines to the cockpit or connect them and do...

Re: GNX375
Agreed. Most of my approaches are ever increasing GPS approaches. More than adequate for most airport operations. I can see a not to distant future of only CAT II/III ground based systems being around for airports that really need it (SEA,ATL, DEN etc.) After all, if a GPS is more than adequate why ...

Not isolated, new pumps have failed 5 times in less than 15 hours engine time.
So far no Root Cause Analysis from Lockwood Aviation, the South Florida Rotax Service center.

Nose Gear & Powder Coat I have noticed many builders removing the powder coating on the strut for smooth turning. I asked TAF Technical exactly where and what range of powder coating to remove. Here is the reply... The nose gear is E-coated. The dimension of the part remain the same once it has ...

Re: Amp Draw? Enough Juice For Oxygen Concentrator?
From the website.. “Having essentially inexhaustible supply of O2 on board changes you're thinking. Flying at 10,000 feet, you don’t hesitate to use it. Cruising about 5000 feet at night? You won’t give O2 use a second thought.” - Marc Cook, KITPLANES Magazine I guess I need one for my truck at nigh...
