Re: Cabin Heating and Air Vent

Follow up question: does the stock heating and air vent system work sufficiently, as long as small issues arw being addressed? Evan has suggested a mod and I was wondering whether it's worth to investigate further.

Re: The Best Panel Switches?

Very helpful. I actually thought the issue would be fitting the switches vertically instead of horizontally. I will also use the Advanced Control Module (similar to VPX) and rely on a single screen, so it seems this might work as long as I use the co-pilot's panel section.

Re: The Best Panel Switches?

I know that you are not lazy. I've been watching your videos for guidance and emotional support, especially when I mess things up :)

Now that you have a better idea, do you think the aerosport switches would fit the panel?

Re: Low Engine Temps

Any updates on this mod? OneAlphaMike on YouTube mentioned that he uses a tape as well. I am based in SoCal but it appears this would be helpful even in that region.

Re: Kit configuration: Parachute pros and cons?

I am on the Parachute camp, after giving it a lot of thought. I really didn't wanted to spend the money or think about the CG issues. The cost is manageable though and I expect to fly with max 3 passengers 99% of the time. Two things played an important role in my decision: 1. Every flight instructo...

Re: The Best Panel Switches?

Have you confirmed whether Aerosport switches fit the sling panel? Also, are they dimmable? I wonder if they become too bright in a dark cockpit.

Re: Dynon and/or Advanced Panel

What is the cost of the panel assembly? Not the instruments, just the service AFS charges. I plan to go with AFS 6600, Advanced Panel and AV30, too. Navigator will be Avidyne 440 because my home airport (KVNY) doesn't have GPS approaches, Avidyne integrates perfectly with the AFS and I am not a fan ...

Re: Beringer Wheels and Breaks

I spoke with Barry from Torrance about this topic today. It appears that flying into/out of short strips (2,000 ft or less) at high altitudes would make a brakes upgrade meaningful. I decided to pass.

Re: Rudder light and wiring

Thanks! Using widen the fiberglass tip with cloth and resin seems like the obvious solution. Of course, it didn't cross my mind :D

Rudder light and wiring

Hi - I am confused with Rudder beacon and wiring Beacon: the rudder tip max width is 1.5" but the options I find in the market (Aveo Minimax Ariel is supposed to be a good option) are closer to 1.75" width. I even asked the factory, and they recommended SimplePack Tail Nav , which is also ...
