Re: GMU 11 Installed in Right Wing

Hi - We will see how it works out, but I just installed mine on the access cover - with the connector facing the fuselage. The tricky thing is the wiring - I ran it down the gap between the rear spar and the ribs. Won't know if it works for several months.

Re: New TSi Seats

No, look at the two holes in the seat base itself. Inside, there are reinforcement plates for these holes. https://photos.app.goo.gl/61REa3MMXnpWLSGv7

Parachute option

The rear spar attach points for the cables are just out of reach for the cables themselves - I cannot get the bolt though the hole as the cable is just not long enough - though barely not so. Should I hog out the attach-point holes in the fuselage using a drill, or perhaps use smaller diameter bolts...

Pitot Tube

My quickbuild wing came with two pitot lines - pitot and angle of attack. The pitot is a regulated pitot which means that it is capable of regulating when it needs to be on and how much heat to provide as well as providing a feedback loop to instruments to let you know it is indeed working. The pito...

Re: New TSi Seats

I have the bench back seat. The seat base has what appear to be Dzus fastener holes in the outside margins of the seat base (with a reinforcement plate) Though the plates were supplied, they are not in the parts list or instructions, though I figured out where they go. The current instructions do no...

Re: New TSi Seats

All the time you spent as a youth with Lego kits will be rewarded with the seat mechanism. Pay special attention the "Gotchas" above on figuring out when you can safely rivet. Also, read carefully about countersinking the seat base rivets. Cleco until you are absolutely sure you can rivet ...

Re: New TSi Seats

For the new seats - the instructions say to start riveting from the back. However, I suspect that the bottom row of rivets for the headrest plate should be riveted from the front. Any thoughts?

Re: Tsi Extra Parts available

You might want to check to make sure that the reinforcing angles were installed along with your channel. Mine were not, nor were they included in my parts list - but TAF said they needed to be installed.

Re: New TSi Seats

Well, I think I figured out that I have a franken-config regarding the seats. Fortunately, I have yet to sink the rivets, but my cleco-ing has been an interesting process. I believe I have: 1 Two seat bottoms and backs that are old style 2 One custom made seat bottom and rails of the new style to ge...

Re: New Canopy Strut Design

Is there a setting that I need for Dropbox to ensure that I am seeing any new files that are being posted? For instance, my Canopy Kit KAI on Dropbox says it was updated on 3/6/2020. Is that correct?
