Re: Tools to build
I'm having a heck of a time finding a used XT2. I've seen a few on ebay but they have looked pretty beat up. If anyone has other leads, please let me know. Have you looked into the cordless Milwaukee M12 rivet gun? Even though I have an air compressor, I knew that it would only be a matter of time ...

Re: Cabin Heating and Air Vent
At Oshkosh, I asked Jean if it was possible to install the TSi heater in the Sling 2. He said that it was.
I'm not sure if it's worth the time, though.
I'll have to think about ti some more when I get closer to that stage.

Re: Fuel Sender Options
I decided to purchase the CIES sending units for my Sling 2 when they were recommended to me by one of the gentlemen at Sling Island while at Oshkosh. They are a great company to work with as mentioned. Be aware that it might take 6-8 weeks to get your sending units once you've placed your order. Th...

Re: Self Etching Primer
I'm a little late to the game here, but I thought I'd add my recent experience. I used SEM green on the vertical stabilizer structure and the inside of the skin. It applies well, and SEM makes good products. No flaking of the primer. After I ran out of SEM, I was unable to find it in green. Evidentl...

Re: EAA Airventure Oshkosh 2022
We went and met everyone as they taxied off of the runway. I spoke to Linda last year and asked her if she was going to fly it back to the U.S. and she said that she didn't have the time to do it. Well, putting it on a ship to get to the U.S. would have put its arrival date when AirVenture 2022 was ...

Re: Best way to do builder logs?
I've been using the EAA log since April, and it works well. I write down my starting and finishing times, take photographs, and write a quick synopsis of what was done during the session. I then login, enter the session description, and add the photos. It's quick, easy to use, free(if you're an EAA ...
