Torque Wrench
Torque Wrench
So I’m looking for a torque wrench and as with many tools it seems you can pay whatever you want for these. My question is, how low does it need to go in Inch Pounds? I see them start at 10 inch pounds and some that start at 20, 30 or even 50. Any recommendations on range, brand or such? Torque values seem like an important item I don’t want to screw up with a cheap tool. Thanks for any guidance.

TEKTON 1/4 Inch Drive Dual-Direction Click Torque Wrench (10-150 in.-lb.) | TRQ21101
Nice size. easy to use. Don't forget to add the 'drag' of a nyloc to the torque value
I have only needed a larger wrench for only a few bolts like the engine mount.
Also, it's good to know the extension formula if using a crows foot or extension with other than a 90 degree offset. This will calculate for you or you can download an app.

Re: Torque Wrench
I'd recommend the Tekton one linked above. It's accurate, unlike the Harbour Freight one. The HF one I have is about 10% off from actual, and I have a feeling they're not actually calibrated at the factory...
