I am currently working on the left wing for my TSI and have noticed that after dimpling all the holes for the top and bottom skins that they are still too small for the rivets. I didn’t have a problem with the right wing skin. When I called down to Torrance they said to run a drill through them but was curious to see if anyone else had this issue.

As long as the holes are lining up to get a cleco in and it's just a matter of the rivets not going in, when you're using the 3.2/3.5mm drill bit, it should feel like it's passing through without resistance, but it actually is doing something.
When I was building I would keep a drill bit handy when riveting to help with those issues. There should be minimal material removed - it's just there's enough in the way the rivet isn't passing well.

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes it looks like there is barely any material coming off with the drill. I’m guessing they may have been slightly undersized on this two skins because all the others have been fine.

I had the same issue on my rudder, most of the dimpled holes so far have not needed any further drilling so of course eventually I forgot to check and ended up wondering why the rivets wouldn't go in on some holes.
On the VS skin I did notice that if I didn't debur the holes before dimpling, the rivets wouldn't go through. Apparently just taking the top corner off the holes was enough to give the necessary clearance after dimpling when that corner ends up pointing "inward" towards the rivet. Tolerances must be pretty tight.
