Sling 2 Weight and Balance

Post by Fly-Fla »

I’m working on making a final decision on ordering a Sling 2 kit. I’m wondering if anyone has a screen shot of the weight and balance setup in foreflight. I would love to see how the Sling 2 loads affect things. I’m going to skip the parachute to save weight so that would be my preference to see. Thanks.

I can send you the foreflight W&B profile I created for the TSi, you'd just have have to change the station and CG limits based on the Sling 2 POH you can download from https://www.slingaircraft.com/owner-support/sling-2/.

Hi Phil,

Bill ince here, Clearwater, Florida.

Old thread, regarding weight and balance, but could you please send me that example of your TSI weight and balance on Foreflight?
I am seriously considering a Sling 2 build, and would like to see how it would look on paper. I already have downloaded the Sling 2 POH from the Sling site.

Thank you, in advance. Getting ready to pull the trigger with the kit, 912is engine, parachute option and perhaps IFR capability. Probably going the Experimental route for the higher gross weight limit.

Hello Bill

I cannot help you with Foreflight as I use Skydemon.
However, I can give bit of advice for what it is worth.

I own a Sling 2, 912 IS sport, airmaster prop, whirlwind blades. No parachute.

Go for the 700 kg mtow (you can convert to LBS)

My fuel tanks are 150 litres. (Gals?)

Have no issues with weight and balance. Interesting though is that with full fuel, 2 on board and , for me. Around 19 kg of luggage , you will find CG moves backwards as fuel used .

Gues what I am saying is go for Sling 2. Not LSA. You need 700 kg MTOW

U welcom to ctc me on PM. but my time zone UTC + 2 ( South Africa)
