Sling Tsi Builder greater Los Angeles

My name is chima. I am an engineer and aviation enthusiast. I will be building in Northridge CA. I chose the Sling Tsi thanks to the many wonderful online reviews from many membets of this forum. Late last year, I visited the TAF Torrance CA location, toured the facility and flew on the N135WT with Jean - an awesome experience. With the kind assistance of Evan Brunye (after answering my million+1 questions), I put in an order for the full kit (not quick build) this January 2022. I was told by Barry that current wait time is about 9 months. So, while waiting I have reorganised my 2-car garage and started acquiring essential tools for the build. Looking forward to an exciting (no doubt a challenging) build. However, I hope with this forum's support I can get through it while adding value to the group.

Great to hear you're in the queue for a plane. I'm through the empennage portion of the build, working on wrapping up the wings/fuel tanks and then onto the rest of the fuselage (the rear is quite far along). I think you'll find the build goes quite well - and Evan's build videos are VERY helpful.

Thanks Brian . I am spending time watch relevant You tube videos and soaking up every info I come across. I agree that Evan's build videos are very insightful...I can't stop re-visiting them. Really looking forward to getting the build started.
