StarLink

Post by McCreary637 »

I was looking into getting a StarLink Mini. In the HW there doesn’t appear to be a great place to put it.

So I was wondering if it could be recessed into the dash. There are a lot of mounts for the StarLink and they have a depth of about 1.5 inches.

I don’t have my kit yet so I can’t check for myself.

Anyone else using Starlink in the plane.

Curious myself. I thought about the BRS blowout panel (I don't have BRS and Sling designed a 6061 blank in lieu of). Will chat with Sling tech and see whats possible. I'm sure lots of creative solutions will come out. I tested the Starlink Mini covered by baggage door fiberglass ... 120 - 200 Mbs. Friend had it mounted on the side window of Mooney but it looked cumbersome to mount and required I think 40W of power.

Good day all,

A YouTube search will turn up multiple people putting StarLink in their planes.
Here is a link to MWPB for their Sling TSi
